It is understood that from July 25 to July 31, 2025, the weekly comprehensive operating rate of lead-acid battery enterprises in five provinces tracked by SMM was 71.86%, basically stable WoW.

This week, the production of lead-acid battery enterprises was relatively stable. As August approaches, the e-bike lead-acid battery market will enter the traditional peak season. Some lead-acid battery enterprises intend to increase production and build up inventory. Especially after the recent decline in lead prices, the purchasing enthusiasm of downstream enterprises has significantly improved, and they have gradually started to build up inventory of lead ingots at lower prices. However, the consumption in the automotive battery market is mixed. Producers produce based on sales, with an increase in orders due to the rush to export amid tariff changes, as well as a decline in export orders directly affected by tariff changes. Recently, there have been frequent high-temperature weather events in the north China region. A small number of enterprises plan to conduct equipment maintenance at the beginning of the month, with factories taking a short break. Next week, the operating rates of lead-acid battery enterprises may see both increases and decreases.
